Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an echocardiogram which showed I had elevated systolic pressure at 25-35 hg indicative of mild pulmonary hypertension; mild - moderate tricuspid regurgitation; mild - moderate tricuspid regurgitation; left ventricle mildly dilated with mild global hypokinesis of left ventricle and ejection fraction of 45-50%. This was before I had an ablation due to having 25,000 pvc s daily that began over several months that could not be controlled with medicine. Since they were multifocal I probably have some still but don t pay any attention to them. I exercise regularly and am slim (bmi 25). I am 55 years old. What does this mean?
* The echo suggestive of tricuspid regurgitation with ventricular dilatation and global hypokinesia means compromised coronary circulation with secondary ventricle changes.
* The history of premature ventricular contractions may also indicative of underlying conduction defect at atrioventricular path or nodal rhythm.
If associated symptoms, EKG or angiography findings are also available during next follow up chat, better guidelines can be figured out.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
